Facial Scrub review!

So as I said, I tried out my honey bunches of oats facial scrub & I love it! It smells so good on my face & its very gentle. The brown sugar works as a nice exfoliant. & the best part is that it doesnt require much so I have a ton left over. I can probably use it a few more times before I run out. I used it on my lips as well and it made my lips really soft.

I also used my body scrub yesterday. I made two different scents: Water Lily & Rose. They both smell really good. I used the water lily and it was great. It left my skin feeling really mosturized and soft. & the softness lasted quite a while. I was surprised at how mostuizing olive oil is for your skin. I am going to start using it more!

I hope everyone has a really great Christmas!

Gorgeous DIY Clutch!

This looks so cute & so easy! I love how this Gold Clutch looks so designer. No one would ever know it was made from a thrift store buy! I can't wait to make it. I found this DIY project on  a site called The Fashion Spot. It has posts about everything from celebrity fashion to street trends to beauty trends and everything in between. Its an awesome site to browse through when you have free time on your hands. It also has other DIY projects and video tutorials. I love it :)

Bake Day!

I spent all day baking cookies! I made chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. My grandma made ginger snaps and fudge. We ended up with tons of snickerdoodles! We will have cookies for months after Christmas! I made two cute tins of cookies for my boyfriend's family. Can't wait to give it to them!

Homemade Gifts :)

So like I said before, I made all my gifts this year. Well most of them. I maade a body scrub & a facial scrub. They both turned out great. Below I will show you how the facial scrub turned out & how to make it yourself :)

Honey Bunches of Oats Facial Scrub:
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey
2 tbsp milk

When you mix together the ingredients you can do more or less any ingredient. The more milk you add the creamier it will be. Honey is a natural antibiodic and it will mosturize your skin. It is also anti-bacterial and anti-inflammation. Milk is also really great for your face. It contains lactic acid which acts as an exfoliant. It gets rid of the dead outer skin and helps smooth new skin. Its also for soothing and gentle. The brown sugar also acts as a exfoliant.

I added a little more milk than the recipe called for because it made it creamier and it made it easier to mix it all together smoothly.

I put the scrub in a cute little mason jar. The final product smells so good and tastes yummy as well. When you use this scrub, scrub a little on your lips as well to get rid of the dead skin cells. This will help chapped lips in the winter.

I made myself some as well. Once I use it, I will tell you how I liked it :)

Tis' the Season!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is my favorite time of year. The lights, the trees, the baking. Everything about Christmas intrigues me. My favorite part is decorating. I wish I was more creative, but decorating the tree is the best. After I put up my tree with all the lights and ornaments, I just want to sit by the fire and watch a Christmast movie all snuggled up. The image is so romantic! I also love giving gifts. If I could, I would give everyone in my life  a gift, but sadly, I can't afford to. This year I am making most of my gifts. Its really exciting to see how people will like them. I got my ideas from www.laurenconrad.com. She is awesome. She is always posting cute decoration ideas! I want to try one this year if I have time. Well thats all for now!

Clueless

Well, lets start by saying I have created a blog & have no idea what to blog about. Its something I have always wanted to do, so I thought that if I start one ideas will eventually begin to pop in my head along the way. So here is me.... starting my dream... no I am kidding. But this should be interesting..
